Comprehensive renovation and refurbishment of an old single-family home located in the centre of A Coruña.
Covering an area of approximately 350 m2, the project focused on optimising and redesigning spaces, as well as creating a sophisticated and functional aesthetic with a contemporary style.
The home incorporates a number of cutting-edge solutions that required meticulous execution, great precision and attention to detail:
- Microcement finishes and textured paints.
- Different types of wood, in furniture and flooring, which were perfectly matched to achieve harmony between the spaces.
- Large-format natural stone skirting boards on the façade.
- Outdoor flooring and furniture in polished concrete with exposed aggregate.
- Swimming pool built by INCOGA, incorporating an innovative cover to ensure maximum safety and greater use of this area.
With the aim of improving vehicle access to the plot, a unique structural intervention was carried out, consisting of cutting one of its side façades lengthwise. The work involved replacing the existing 55 cm thick masonry wall that formed the façade enclosure with a new 20 cm thick reinforced concrete wall. The difference in thickness between the two walls served to widen the entrance ramp.
