A Coruña, July 2025. INCOGA has completed the staging of David Bailey’s Changing Fashion, the latest initiative by the MOP Foundation, held at its exhibition centre in the Port of A Coruña, which will remain open to the public until 14 September.

This is the first retrospective of the iconic photographer in Spain, a world-class exhibition celebrating the transformative impact of Bailey’s photography in the 1960s and 1970s, a period in which he photographed celebrities from the catwalks, music, cinema and royalty. Comprising more than 140 works by the acclaimed artist, some of them never before seen, the exhibition also includes material from his studio and a carefully curated selection of personal items that shed light on the unique aspects of Bailey’s creative environment.

INCOGA was responsible for adapting the existing space to house this new exhibition, paying meticulous attention to every detail throughout all stages of its development. With its understated, sophisticated and highly functional architecture, this project once again bears the signature of the renowned Elsa Urquijo.

The Book Store, a unique bookshop

Having featured in the previous exhibition, this display is complemented by a spectacular specialist bookshop, housing over 5,000 books across various disciplines, such as photography, art, fashion and architecture. Comprising a curved modular metal structure and a spectacular spiral staircase, which allows visitors to ascend the silo in which it is housed, The Book Store has been designed and built entirely by INCOGA, using a meticulous selection of materials sourced from the outset. It is a magnificent and original space dominated by dark tones that highlight the colour of the books.

Previous exhibitions at the MOP Centre

Following Peter Lindbergh’s Untold Stories in 2021; Steven Meisel 1993 – A Year in Photographs in 2022; Helmut Newton – Fact & Fiction in 2023; and Irving Penn: Centennial in 2024; David Bailey’s Changing Fashion is the fifth major exhibition at this renowned exhibition centre, which was built by INCOGA from old silos and an industrial warehouse, now converted into this space of great national and international significance.
